Windage drum on AK front sight wont budge

So the drum won't move when I tried to adjust it with the sight adjustment tool i got from parallax tact. I know I've been trying to line it up correctly, but when i attempt to move it, the drum is just stuck...

    Help?

    Some are tighter than others.

I am guessing you got this tool>>>

My suggestion is to find someone with this one>>>

The drums I have had that don't move with the first style tool will move with the second (I own both).

You are correct. But gosh, 30 bucks!? I'll have find an alternative... Though my adjustment is minimal, as im just shooting slightly right. I guess the tool I got, like the first one posted is useless, as the cleaning kit has a front sight elevation adjustment tool already.

Shoot some rounds through it until the FSB gets hot. Then use the drift tool, it'll usually break free then.

I bought one of those POS, check the size of the bore hole opposite the screw, mine was the same size/smaller than the front base adjustment... You could tighten it all day long and it would never move.

I found that you can load up the el cheapo sight tool and give it a good whack(inline with the pusher) with a hammer. This will shock it and get it to move. It can be tedious if you've got a long way to go, but it does work.

Another thing that helps when using the sight tool with the roll pin handle is to use a screwdriver with a peg-board hole in the handle to grip the pin and twist it... adds more leverage.

No need to take it to the range. Just hold a lighter under it and heat it up.

I had one so tight it bent my tool, I had to put it in the shop press to get it to budge.

                        Yeah but it's more fun

And Mikhail Kalashnikov designed the rifle to hit within 6 inches at 100 meters. How far off is it???

Alex$ got this one right, the hole is about the same size so i had to use a socket wrench head just slightly larger and placed it in between, now it moves, slowly but it goes now.
