    80% AR lower question

I finished milling my Tactical Machining AR 80% lower using their 'no brainer' jig. I dry fit the trigger group and safety selector.
With the trigger pulled back I cocked the hammer back into the firing position and slowly let off on the trigger. Instead of the disconnector doing its job the hammer slammed forward.
The trigger group was a no-name lower kit. I replaced the hammer with one of my Spikes Tactical hammers and the condition cleared up somewhat but not to my satisfaction. I tried a DPMS hammer with the same inconsistent results.
I compared pin spacing with with a commercially made lower and found no differences
Can anyone give me a little guidance as to what may be wrong and/ or how the problem can be addressed?

We're the pins easy to insert? As in maybe the far side hole drifted?

      All the springs in correctly?

yes make sure you're using the correct spring for disconnector and that it is installed correctly.
it can be easy for the uninitiated to confuse the bolt catch spring with the one for the disconnector; they are similar in size but the latter has one end that is fatter than the other.
the wide end goes DOWN when you place it in the hole in the trigger.

this may or may not be your problem, but is always worth verifying.

The hammer may not be the issue. Try swapping the disconnector with a known "good" part.

This thread should have your answer.

Drill and ream the holes before machining the lower reduce this problem.

Thank you all for your thoughts and valuable, valid advice!
I did my due diligence before machining I.e. drilling and reaming prior to machining etc.
I simply couldn't wait to order a 'known' brand lower kit and purchased a 'no name' kit from a local gun shop. The kit was total garbage! The springs were extra heavy and contorted, the sear faces looked like they were dressed on a cheese grater, the hammer disconnect lip was too short, overall, total waste of time and money.
Live and learn, eh? Thanks again everybody.

Ah yes, I know this syndrome well. Although I bought a DPMS parts kit and all the proper areas look ground. Elite Arms & Supply for $75.00
