    Looking for a smith...

To open up the base mount screw holes on a 700P long action and possibly threat the barrel for a break.

Does anyone have any suggestions in the SoCal area? I really don't care to ship this around the country if I can support someone localish.

    Thanks guys

What exactly are we working on? Barrel length, etc.
If you are threading for a brake, I STRONGLY suggest re-crowning while the barrel is in the lathe for threading. Have seen more than a few factory crowns not square with bore centerline. It will go un-noticed til a brake is installed.
I have an 01 FFL so you can ship and receive directly to and from me for repair.

R&D Precision in Glendora, he's built 2 rifles for me, does excellent work.

I've been told this guy does very good work.
