My first AK build

My first ak build AMD-65, thanks to domingo for all your help and knowledge, started with a flat and parts kit, test fired, degreased, sand blasted and painted with Cerakote FDE and graphite black, then put it together. It came out nice. Here is a picture.

I am confused. How is it illegal if the stock is pinned, the mag has a bolt through it obviously lancing it to 10 rounds and that is a fake suppressor probably from AK Builder?

Without a mag lock it would be an assault weapon according to Ca. DOJ:

with a removable magazine you cannot have the pistol grip and the forward grip. (and possibly not the fake can, depends on what it is called)

I see the mag lock on there resting on the trigger guard, does that mean the next bad thing is the forward grip?

The post is a edited post The weapon is legal with stock not folding mag lock in place and 10/30 mag, the fake can is from brownells just like the one from ak-builders but $10 cheaper. Im very happy with build.

Looks nice, I like the colors.

I have an AMG-65 too, I hate cheek weld with that wire stock and im thinking about changing it out. May have to do something that the purists would find unsavory.
