    Rust

I recently purchased a Browning Buckmark. There is some very light rusting on the barrel and front sight (see pic) and would like to know what would be the best method to get rid of it. I was thinking maybe using some penetrating oil, stiff brush and elbow grease? TIA!

good coat of penetrating oil like Kroil or Marvel Mystery Oil, (or gun oil if you don't have any) and let it sit for "a while" and use 0000 steel wool, or even better, bronze wool. Repeat as needed.

Looks like surface rust and should clean up pretty easily.

If you store it in your pistol rug you should put a couple of small packets of desiccate in with it to control moisture.
