    Grip Stippling

Sent a Xd and a STI grip out to Southpaw Customs to get them recontoured and stippled. I just got them back and they turned out very nice. If you are considering getting this done you should check out his website. Very nice work.

Nice! I just ran across this the other day for DIY grip reduction and "stipple type" grip texturing...

Bob, do they use a chemical to soften the plastic when they do that or is it done like metal stippling with punches only?

My guess is they use nothing more than a soldering iron.

You can probably buy AR-15 grip for few bucks and practice with soldering iron.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

There's a ton of how-to info on stippling over at http://www.pistolsmith.com/. Search on stipple, stippling, etc.
