I wana get a amd 65 pistol kit. How hard would it be to replace the original gas block and front sight with a combo one? This will b my first kit build

Not hard but get an undrilled barrel. Those combo blocks use 90deg ports and AMD 65 uses a 45deg port.There are 3 kinds of people in this world.

I've had good success with this one:
45 degree gas port, sight elevation and windage adjustment with a slotted screwdriver, bolts on vs. being pinned (high temp solder/braze is another option, but not necessary) and has a very modern look.

I wouldn't count on it working with a 90 degree gas port. I had two GM 1970 barrels with 90 degree gas ports I tried to build up into an M70 that had to be welded over and redrilled because the port was too far forward. Your mileage may vary.
