The Chop Shop is Open for Business!

Well I took the G22 to the next level. Started out with a custom paint job, and then today chopped it down to accept G23 Magazines as well as, notching out the trigger guard for the right and left hand (no more Glock knuckle), and also rounded off the front of the trigger guard. Next project will be stippling/texturing. I know I should have done this work and then painted, but I guess I didn't think I was going to go through with it.

    I like it!
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

Thank you! I really like it also. It is hands down the most comfortable Glock I've held so far. I'm looking forward to doing more.

Does this mean you are offering this as a service?

Yes! the title sounded like a joke, but I am working towards starting a business for myself. I have a back round in troubleshooting/repair, so I am applying what I've been doing into what I want to do.

Looks great! Just some similar work to my G27 recently. High grip under the TG for both hands, removed all finger grooves and rewrapped with Brooks Tactical A-Grip.

Thank you! I think the TG work is one of the best mods you can do. I just ordered a new soldering iron and tips to do texturing. Pics coming soon!

ODG23, that looks outstanding! I love the cut outs for grasping the mag and the TG looks slick. VERY nice job, I might have to really consider doing this.

I found this thread about a Glock "bobtail"... Might look great with your setup. http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1352619

ODG23..........outstanding work! If you don't mind, could you give some details on the tools you used for make the cuts, etc. I have been considering doing this on several of my Glock pistols and work with metal pretty easily, but I am a bit plastic-phobic.

                      Thanks in advance.

Nice! I saw this on the Cold Bore Customs website. I would like to learn how to fabricate polymer. One more thing on the to-do-list.

                          If I didn't have a gen 2 I might try this mod.

Did you happen to save the bottom of the grip area that you cut off? If cut clean enough, you can bond it to one of your original mags, so there is no gap. Pretty slick setup. If done well it shouldn't pinch.

I have a Gen2, too. Why would it be problematic? I'm digging the cut out to accomodate the shorter mags.
