San Diego 80% lower machining?

Does anyone in the San Diego area offer CNC rental/instruction? I'm considering purchasing an 80% AR lower but don't have anything beyond a drill press or dremel and other hand tools in my possession. I've used the search function but haven't come up with anything. Any recommendations on where to get my lower?

There was a thread about a build party at Ares Armor or a machine shop they use but it has since been deleted. I plan on calling them on Monday to get the full scoop.

Yeah I got mine done as well.



It was an easy, painless experience. I mounted the lower, pushed a button, then after the FCG pocket was done I went to a drill press and using a jig I drill the holes for the trigger pins and the safety hole. I will definitely be going back.

Is it possible/legal to have someone stamp markings into the receiver such as a custom logo and or safe/fire text on the safety selector area? Also, are all 80% finished lowers need to be raw aluminum finished or can they be finished in black?

If I could do these things, I see a build in my future.......

stamp/engrave: 80% anyone can do it. completed: must be sent to a vendor with FFL license, unless you are onsite while work is being done. ( this is how I understand it, please correct me if I'm wrong)
There's a CalGun member/vendor SureShot(?) out of SD that can laser engrave.

Check out AIMSMALL's 80% group buy, you can purchase both bare and anodized 80%. If you get a anodized one, all milled areas will be bare, once built, those areas are not visible from outside.
