    XD Gunsmith needed

I bought a XD45T and would like to start building it for a good IDPA pistol. First thing I want to do is a trigger job since the OEM has a long mushy take up and a really long reset. I am used to tuned Glock and 1911 triggers. I'm looking for a gunsmith that is good with an XD. I can ship it anywhere but prefer to stay local if possible. I have other plans for it but the trigger seems to be most important to start. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

By local I mean Sacramento or the surrounding areas.

Sometimes it is entirely appropriate to kill a fly with a sledge hammer.

DIY it, pretty simple with the PRP or springer kits.

If not, send it out to one of the two, both are top notch XD guys.

Ironically I am looking for the same thing. Has anyone ever heard of Bill Martin Gun Repair in Castro Valley? It was suggested by a local gun store and he is saying $175 for trigger work down to a 3lb pull. But I can't find anyone else who has heard of him.

Also I am looking into PRP and Springer, thinking about DIY but when it comes to my handgun always cautious about my clumsy fingers and small springs.

If you call Scott Springer, I believe he'll send you a UPS shipper using his discount. If you have a friendly FFL, he can use USPS to ship. It saves you a few dollars. I got Scott's kit and put it in myself, not that big of a deal. If I remember correctly, it involved filing/stoning one part.

Tracy Rifle and Pistol will do it!

I think I paid about $50 and it took about 45min. Went to Squeeze burger next door to wait! Yum
