1911 question??
"IF IT'S NOT A COLT, IT'S A COPY"Tags: None -
Generically and refering to typical 1991 parts sizes, not really.
There will be a gap between the back end of the recoil spring cover part of the Gov't slide and the front of the Commander frame.
There may be other fitting issues but this one by itself kills the deal.
Now maybe if you had some sort of Commander frame with an extended dust cover that might work.
Officer and Commander frames and slides are interchangeable, but not the Gov't sized parts.
Just about everything possible for the 1911 has been made, likely there is something out there somewhere to do this, but not with the usual standard-spec parts.
