M-63 BFPU build

[SVT-40]

I built this a bit ago on a APEX all matching M-63 kit. The barrel is a new Romanian piece. Even though this kit came as pictured with little outside finish it's like new on the inside and was all matching down to the safety, rear sight and all the fire control parts. I used a Nodak receiver and aged the receiver using a very old and worn out foam extra fine sanding sponge. It leaves no scratches and polishes the metal as if it had been handled for many years.

One of my sons friends brought the rug back from Afghanistan for me. It was very nice of the young man to think of me.

This one one of those "smooth" builds where everything went so smooth with no problems. When I head spaced the new barrel I ran it into the trunnion to where I thought it should be and bam, it was right on. Never did that before or since.

Every rivet squashed perfectly. Every barrel part went on smoothly and without issues same for drilling the rivet holes in the receiver.

Truly a blessed build. Plus it shoots straight and with no issues.
