Are there any gunsmiths in the San Francisco east bay area that work on M1 Garands

Maybe if you describe what you need done, you may get some pointers on how to do it.

In my experience, the only thing an M1 needs anything special for is twisting on a new barrel. Other than that, you can strip it down to every individual part yourself and replace things as needed.

I'd offer to help out but you can see I've been exiled to North Carolina.

Depends on what the OP needs... I'm across the bay, in San Leandro, and work on Garands but only do Service grade type of work.. ie no match type work.
