    AR 10/15 action (recoil) springs

    Hello.

Trying to find out if the action(recoil) spring on collapsible stocks for AR15's is the same as AR10's. I know the buffers are different weight.

I bought a SOPMOD stock kit from LMT, for an AR10. It comes with everything but the spring. For $300+, they should include the $5 spring.

    Thanks

No they aren't. When I bought my AR10 whoever built it used a AR15 carbine spring. When firing a round the action moved too fast and the bolt would catch the spent round before it could fully eject resulting in a stove pipe. I had to switch to an AR10 rifle length spring to slow the action down.

Sent from the rocket in my pocket, my all powerful DROID BIONIC.

I emailed LMT about the spring, still no answer. They only list one spring on their site. DPMS does list different springs for standard/carbine AR10/15. I ordered one from Midway USA.
