    Bobtail conversion mod

    Does anyone here know a gunsmith that can perform a bobtail conversion on 1911s in the Bay Area?

          I love my Dan Wesson CBob so much that my Colt Combat Elite feels like junk in my hands now. Brownells sells the Ed Brown CBob mainspring housing and the jig to help cut the frame of a 1911 down for it. Has anyone done this? I read the article on www.GunBlast.com where they cut an aluminum...
