S&W Model 469

Has anyone placed aftermarket dovetail type sights on this pistol (night sights?), I really like this pistol, I picked it up used a couple of years ago. My only issue is the factory sights. I would need to cut dovetails. Worth the effort? I will do the work myself but would love to hear any of your experience.

I replaced the whole 469 slide assembly, barrel & recoil spring & rod with a S&W 6904 complete slide assembly including barrel, recoil spring and rod.
The three dot sights on the 6904 immensely improved the sight picture and accuracy on my two S&W 469's.

Thanks, I had not thought about going that route. Was it hard to find a slide assembly as a donor?
