Suomi build info needed

I would like to attempt to build one of these.
Can anyone with experience summerize what will need to be purchased.
I see the basic parts kit from various sources
I see 80% reduced id recvrs with flats(hellbox)
I see hellbox will machine od of bolt and mod firing pin(AR)
I see Apex sells vented shrouds, barrell extensions,etc...

Will I need anything else?
FCG...modified or replaced?

I was told TNW sold a Suomi kit with the tube and modified bolt.
Does anyone know if that is true?
This appears to be a tough one to get my head around,need help.

Pick up the current issue (20 Jan) issue of Shotgun News. There is an article in there where a guy builds a TNW kit. It answers all your questions and then some.

Get a kit with a horizontally cut receiver.TNW sells receiver sections through Apex as well as trigger groups and bolts.Hell box armory sells the tube.The rest is up to you...

I found out the HBA reduced id tubes with flats are designed around either an SKS FCG or an AR FCG. Since cheap SKS FCG's are seemingly rare...AR FCG it is!
Apex sells the semi auto recoil assy and ejection housing and also the semi auto recoil assy. but can you demill and reuse these parts from kit or do they need to be replaced?
do these stock parts need to be altered?

TNW sells semi-auto trigger groups that fit right into the gun.The AR trigger group requires mods that are easily visable from outside the weapon.Get on weaponsguild if you are thinking of taking this on.

I'm working on this very same project. My current approach:
- HBA "Original ID" 80% receiver
- TNW FCG
- Home made barrel extension (Spruce Aircraft carries the tubing)
- Modify the bolt to have a spring loaded firing pin (ordered firing pin from BRP Guns)
- Add a blocking bar to prevent use of "Original ID" bolt

However this is going to be a difficult build due to removing a lot of material from the receiver (I only have a drill press and a dremel, no milling machine.) It's going to be a huge PITA and will probably take me all year.

If I were do it all over again, I would simply get the TNW kit. It comes with the new receiver in sections that must be welded together. The add the TNW bolt and FCG.

Shotgun news has already covered the "hard way" build before and as stated before they show the "easy" build with the TNW kit.

PS. Anyone interested in buying my HBA receiver?

Thanks for the info. I am looking into TNW's kit. TNW will even pin the mag to 10 rounds for us and include it in the kit.
Is this a featureless build when complete? Will a bullet button be required?

The TNW kits are the way to go.

Make sure all of your parts are there though, especially all of the small parts in the baggie.
