    Sacramento area gunsmith

I got the Galloway hammer and trigger bar upgrade for my Ruger LC9. I'm a handy person, but never done anything on firearms besides basic cleaning, so I think I will pay someone to install this for me.

Can anyone suggest a good gunsmith in Sac to do the work? Preferably either in the Rancho Cordova area (where I work), or the Arden Arcade area (where I live).

    Thanks

Give Seesm a PM. He's up in Auburn but that's only a 30 min ride up 80. I'm sure he can do it for ya. Maybe even while ya wait.

-1 on Gary Thiry. I had him ATTEMPT to switch out my sights on a 1911 back when he had his own shop. I got it back with a marred slide and a wobbly half-staked front sight. Go to someone else.

              Thanks for the input guys.

After watching a bunch of youtube videos on how to do the mods myself I figured I'd give it a try. I figured if I did ti, I saved a few bucks, and if I got stuck part way through, then I could take it in.

Turned out to be pretty easy. Of course I haven't live fired it yet, but it dry fires just fine. And the difference in the trigger is amazing. Still a heavy and long trigger by pistol standards, but not nearly the mile long 1 ton trigger that it used to be. If you have an LC9 and don't like the trigger I highly suggest you look into it
