Park, pre dip black questions

Has anyone had any experiance with the Dura Coat black pre dip not lasting in storage? I mixed up a batch a month ago, used it twice, and now it seems flat. Nothing happened after soaking in it for up to ten minutes. Any input?

Pre dip

The Pre-dip only conditions the metal for the parkerizing process--it does not parkerize.
Try parking with and without the Pre-dip to determine your satisfaction.
I have seen only a minor difference and thus feel that it is an expense not worth it.

I have been pre dipping with a very dark black after parking. The normal park process only gives you a dark grey. When using the predip, the results are well worth the money. Now do you have any knowledge on the question topic?
