I just finished an M70 reweld yesterday, and unfortunately lost the 2 lower selector notches, the two center sections were cut through them. I would like to put them back on the receiver, but cant seem to figure out how to replicate them like the originals. I know that I could just take a cutting wheel to make two notches and get those satisfying "clicks", but that does not look original and is a last resort for me. So, any tips from you yugo builders?

theres a sanding stone disc that is the correct shape, it only comes in a set with a small grinder for like 9 bucks at Harbor freight. With a steady hand you can get some nice diamond shaped cuts. The little grinder comes in handy. Comes with all the attachments and cutting discs. -
Bummer, I just made a trip out to HF last week AND ordered something online from them, wish I had known. I'll take a look at the dremel attachments at some hardware stores and see if I can find anything, and if not, looks like HF will be getting another order from me. Thanks for the quick response!Comment

You know you'll never leave Harbor Freight with just one thing! The AK team should get a HF frequent buyer discount! Good luck with those notches.
P.S. can I borrow the new dremel tip set when you're done?!Comment

Practice grasshopper, Practice.
I have gotten pretty good at cutting them using a diamond wheel in the dremel that is shaped like a flying saucer (for lack of a better description).
It does well for the pointed ends but needs to be pushed, and pulled slightly for the width.
Break out a piece of scrap metal, and go until you're happy with the results.Comment

Check out Victor machine, they have a large assortment of mounted grinding wheels in both 1/8 and 1/4 inch. Also carbide burrs in a die grinder are mighty handy. They have great prices on flap wheels for blending your welds too- check it out.
Find aluminum oxide mounted grinding wheels with 1/8 inch shanks at Victor Machinery. Our mounted grinding wheels are perfect for use in Dremel grinders.
