So I want to get rid of the bb on my lower for a 22 build but that nut somehow got screwed so deep, my red bb tool cant reach It to loosen it before it threads in.. I would just make a tool but cannot get one with proper wall thickness or diameter. I would drill out the threads on the red bb tool/button so it can go deeper but I need it for my other rifles when I drive cross state lines. Any suggestions?

Stuck bb nut

I installed a raddlock, replacing my standard bb. In doing so, I found out just why you don't use Loctite on the bb. I ended up pushing the bb assembly far out of the other side of my rifle, exposing then cutting the shaft with my dremel tool. Kind of a nasty last resort, but it worked well. Good luck! -
Its actually not lock tighted in, just tension from the spring. The nut is actually so deep, I cant push the mag release really far. Certainly not enough room for my sausage fingers to cut anything without ruining the lower. Thanks thoughIf you seek peace, prepare for warComment
