    Ar15-Dent in my disconnector.

I was looking over my fire control parts and spotted this divot from the hammer over traveling .

Im currently running a standard buffer and from my ejection pattern, I'm slightly over gassed so I'm planning on a spikes t2 for it soon. And I have a lower power hammer spring too. I'm guessing the light buffer and light hammer spring are causing the extra travel. Make sense?

Looks like the cutdown military hammer is not cut down enough, Also looks like disconnector catch is damaged/worn.

I suspect you might also be having some excessive wear on upper receiver where bearing pads on bolt carrier bear on upper receiver when hammer wedges against trigger/dissconector and bolt carrier.

Bolt carrier drag can be also add to function problems, sluggish mag feeding, misfeeds, FTF, FTE.

Grind off end of hammer for more clearence, install factory hammer spring, replace disconnector and see what happens function wise.

There's only 250 rds fired and there's no wear marks inside really. Flawless function so far but The dc looks like a pos to me.

My Bcg is chromed and i think the action is going too fast,Flipping the hammer back a little too far. Been reading all over the net since I found the dent. Lol Playing with that spring screwed me. Couple new parts are no biggy tho so I'll see how it goes. Ty

Not that I noticed. Thinking a h2 buffer is all I need . And a new dc,looks like it wasnt even heat treated,by the way its mushrooming like that. Thankfully i have good guys locally and on Calguns to help me out.Maybe I shouldn't say it's over gassed, it may be a crappy buffer spring that I got off eBay. Changing that out too before I freak out.
