Saiga conversion - drilling out rivets from inside the receiver?

I was looking at the youtube video below and unlike many other Saiga how-to's I have seen, this guy drills out the trigger plate rivets from inside the receiver and not from the underside. Is one method better than another? I wanted to start doing this today, and the method on the video seems easier.

I drilled out the rivets this way also. Did not want drill bit spinning off and marring the receiver.

I go outside. Use a dremel cutting disk to cut an X in each rivet so you drill dead center and your bit doesn't wander. I also cut the trigger guard off to get the rivet in the center. Works well for me.

The 2 on the out side get filed or I hit it with my 2" angle grinder to get them flat, the big one in the middle gets drilled from the inside.
This dude sucks, I have a Saiga stripped down to the bare receiver in about 4 minutes.

It's not the drill motor, it's the bits that really matter
