    G3 bending jig?

Anyone purchased and used this jig on gunbroker site?

I have been debating on making a few of these model weapons.

we used that jig at the HK flat bending party a couple months ago. IIRC, Roccobro had to make a mod to the jig so that the ejection port flare wouldn't get crushed. In addition, the jig is made out of mild steel and bowed out more and more over the day.

We ended up using a couple mandrels to straighten out the receivers after they came off the jig.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I bought one and used it with no problems on other than G3 flats.
I was rather impressed with the quality of the jig and finished product.

I'm in Fremont and work in Sunnyvale if you want to take a look.

The one at the BP was a rental and had some miles on it.

The folding jig is more of a long term loaner, but it stays with Roccobro. The straightening jig was the rental. Both had their share of mileage on them.

And I've since fixed both jigs to be in better shape than how I got them.

If I can get some experience with these we will definitely have a Norcal build party next year. Roccobro, ever thought about a road trip up north, maybe in March?

If you are passing around the collection plate, I think we're covered in the I.E. via Roccobro.

                        Cough cough........

I thought I would post this as a new thread so it might be easier for folks tring to bend these to find down the road The grooves for the scope mount are cut after the flat is bent and welded. The rust is a non issue as everybody else has mentioned. These flats are a breeze to bend, somewhere...

It's ugly, but it has built many thousands of home-built HK/CETME weapons. Buy a few receivers in case one or two go terribly wrong.

                          Good luck,
