    Remington DBM install question

So I did a DBM install on my remington 700 the inletting went fine and the DBM is sitting in the stock just fine now but the mags fit a bit loose in the DBM itself they have a little side to side play and some up and down play is this normal? Or should the mags fit tight?
I was thinking there might be a bit of play because mags very in tolerances also I was thinking the up and down play migt be because the mags are not loaded when I am testing the fit and if I was to load them all the way and insert them into the gun with the bolt closed then there would need to be a little give for them to fit up in there does my thought process make any sense to anyone else or is it just me?
If anyone has a DBM on their 700 and can tell me how the mags fit into the magwell that would be great
    Thanks

That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Not 100% about this but this is my 2 cents! There will be some play in the Mags. Up and down play should only matter if the inletting is not deep enough. You will find this out if you start having problems with feeding the rounds into the chamber. Other wise the wiggle that you feel is normal. Get out and shoot it and see what happens. Or load up some dummy rounds and see how it feeds.

What brand dbm? If its one that takes the AICS mags like Badger or R&D, the position of the mag is set by the position of the botom metal. Measure you stock where the bolts go through and make sure they are the right length. The diminsions are on badgers web site.

I did that and I actually had to cut the pillars in my stock shorter than what the badger pillars are just to get it to feed at all
I am going to go out this Sunday and test it guess I will see how it goes

Not sure how that works, my aics mags and badger M5 bottom metal put thefront of the magazine flush with reciever, touching it. In fact, one of my mags I had to drum sand a little to get it to lock into place. No way could the pillars be any shorter then the 1.070" and .720" Badger calls out for.
