single action front sight problems

I have a rugar ss 45 lc single action. The front sight fell off. How are they attached from the factory?and how to reattach it the right way.

What model single action? Blackhawk or vaquero?

I would send it back to Ruger, that's probably the best way to get it fixed. If that's not an option, google Single Action Service here in Houston. Alan Harton does phenomenal work on (big surprise here..) Single Action handguns, both Ruger and the Colt and clones. he's also quite reasonably priced.
