    worth it?

Long story, but I picked up a PSL kit, both the barrel and receiver have been cut, and after seeing the amazing rewelds from nico, I'm wondering if trying to reweld this is worth it, it is a ~1.5mm receiver and all I have is a stick welder, I'm tempted to try it anyway, but is this something that is worth doing, to the point of being able to reuse it in a functional PSL

Maybe tough with only a stick machine to work with. MIG would be kinda risky but better control then the arc machine.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Why would you buy it, then NOT try it?

oxygas or tig may be your only choice. You could do mig/wirefeed little bits at a time letting it cool before starting again.
