    AR Trigger upgrade

I am sure this issue has been beaten to death but I will ask anyway. I put together an AR with a free float heavy bbl with the specific intent to punch holes in paper as far as I could reach out.

I finally mounted the optics and took it shooting. To my dismay, the trigger I got with my lower kit was just plain nasty! Gritty, long pull, and tough. It definitely effected the accuracy.

When I got home I polished the trigger, played with the springs, shortened the pull and installed a set screw to adjust the over travel. The trigger pull weight went from 9.5lbs to just over 4. It is much smoother but still unacceptable due to the amount of pull length. Additionally, I would prefer a 1.5lb or less pull. I cant lighten the spring tension any further or I will get light primer strikes.

Ultimately, I have done all i can to this trigger and I am looking at trigger upgrades. I like the drop in units but they do not make (that I have found) an adjustable model that will lighten to 1.5lbs-ish.

I have been looking at the Jard (I like the design) but the price point makes it somewhat unattractive. Does anyone have any experience with other manufacturers that make a similar product or the Jard. I don't mind spending the money for a good trigger but it needs to fit my use. Any help/suggestions are appreciated.
I don't see the glass as half full or half empty. I see a glass that is the incorrect size.
