    Start with Blue or Park?

    Been trying to decide for over a year now on what to get into, bluing (not cold blue, real bluing tanks) or parkerizing. I'm leaning towards parkerizing. Anyone deal with the state on the chemicals involved with either process? Just wonder if one process involves less EPA/CARB/OSHA problems.

      or park and paint for very long term finish.

      EPA - stay away from this - park or blue as a cottage industry under radar - paint under limits for registering.

          Hot bluing, by appointment, while you wait, for a reasonable price.....

          I'll be down to see you in a few weeks when I get both 1911's put together.

          Although, Parkerizing wouldn't be bad, either, same setup.. Would you have a choice of colors?

              Blue also requires a fullpolishing setup: buffers, etc. Park requires a sand blast cabinet. I would do park.
