I have a 12 ton harbor freight press... works great. I had to convert it to a 120 ton press with a sharpie marker, but now it's fantastic.
You'll want to weld the feet to teh uprights if you plan to use it a bunch. The bolt holes will waller out in no time. -
damn homie! What kinda flats are you bending?
I've used my 12T press for destructive testing in welding practice, and put WAY more force on it than I ever have building AK's. Hasn't bent yet.
*ETA* 20 ton isn't required, but it does go a lot smoother if you've got a tight barrel that wants to jump.Last edited by tujungatoes; 11-01-2011, 8:45 PM.sigpicOriginally posted by Dr. ElkyIf your a man who wears white sunglasses, your probably a douche bagOriginally posted by CSACANNONEERI've been know to cross dress and go the other way at certain events.Comment
