Job well done - Ken Breda

    Greetings,
I posted on Calguns if someone knew of a gunsmith in the San Jose area, who could change out a barrel for me. I was pointed to Ken Breda, 831-334-2386, in Aptos, CA. Ken did a wonderful job on the barrel changeout. Now I have a 26" Wilson barrel in 300 Winchester Magnum on my FN action. He did it quickly, too.
Ken also modified my Remington 700 bolt for the Badger tactical knob, and put in a reinforcing screw for the bolt handle. I did not realize that the bolt handle on a Remingtion 700 is soldered on. With Ken's screw in the bolt handle, I need not worry that I might seperate the handle from the bolt body with the extra power of the tactical knob. He will be doing my next Remington 700 also.
If you need gunsmithing in the San Jose area, I can recommend Ken without reservations. He is a great guy.

Can you post pics of the bolt mods?
I am interested in having some similar work done to my 700 bolt also
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

        Thanks Peter!!
        Your project was a little challenging, re-chambering a pre-fit 30-06 barrel to 300 WM.

Vanilla, I will post some pictures of the bolt work later today.

        Thanks,
        Ken

Thank you. I do quite a bit of work to Remington as well as most other bolt actions. US service rifle work too.
