    Xd Help

Let me preface this by saying that I am a dumbass, so now that that is out of the way I disassembled my XD 9 frame and once assembled I put the slide on the check everything was legit (spoiler alert = it was not). So The slide goes on but wont return to its normal position. The slide is flush with the polymer in front of the piece (it isnt supposed to be, should have at least a 1/2" overhang) and I figured out that I didnt get the slide stop spring actually on the slide stop lever and that I am not 100% sure that the trigger bar is caught on the sear. So basically I am up the creek and need to know to unfcuk my xd and I need help.

Once more I know I am a dumbass so there is no need to remind me.

So did you take everything out of the frame or just do a field strip for a normal cleaning?

Gentlemen, Thank you for your interest, just a note a picture will not help because it was something inside the pistol, not visible without an xray. I did figure it would but not without the help of CC Gunsmith. The two mistakes I made upon reassembly were not attaching the slide stop lever to the slide stop lever spring and not attaching the trigger bar to the sear. I had to break the slide stop lever spring and disengage the sear to get the slide to come off. There is some marring on the frame but all I need to do is replace the slide stop lever spring.
