    Which model dremel?

Which model dremel should I get for a ak build? The options seem to be endless. I want one that is up to the task but not necessarily top of the line....

You might want to consider a corded one rather than a rechargeable. The latter drains quickly, from my experience.

Just go to Walmart. They have all sorts of Dremels from low to higher end. Plus all the accessories you could need.

I think it might be a bit more than he needs for his AK build, but hey who knows.

A good dremel with flexshaft costs more than the foredom clone from eBay. Compare the specs of a top of the line dremel, and you'll see that foredom and its clones are classed well beyond.

Hey i'm not doubting you. All i'm saying is you can get a capable Dremel for $50. I have one and have never had an issue with it. If the OP want's something more capable i'm sure the Foredom is a great option.

Get the one that plugs in. The chargeable one is crap...

Thanks for the advice. I got a corded multispeed dremel 300 and accessory kit, and the dremel workstation.

Expensive day with 3 orders at ak-builder for a bulgy ak74 barreled kit and flats, the above from Amazon, and some additional compliance parts from Midway. Yikes. (Nice way to wrap up a day that also included a $1400 repair charge on my 11 year old honda.) Cant wait for a build party.

Lowes has great prices get it from there and their latest model 4000 is outstanding and well worth the cost. In my opinion get the chorded model the ones which run on battery are never the same consistency as the battery starts to drain.

                    cheers

I bought my corded dremel on sale from harbor freight for 10 dollars....its survived 4 builds so far. I use it for cutting through pesky cable locks that I lose the key for, or for cutting through my bikes chain when it was time to replace. All I did was buy the ez lock cutting wheels from home depot as the attachments it comes with are crap

its a dremel, don't overthink it
