DPMS Receiver Rug - Cheap Insurance or solution to nonexistent problem?

I saw this and thought that it looked like a cool little widget to keep debris etc... from getting into an area to cause a problem.

Either that, or it's a good way to make $9.00 disappear from my wallet for no good reason.

Thoughts?

I think its a good way to spend $9 personally. Millions of rifles assembled without this, and no negatives... You say that it keeps debris out... I'd be more worried about it keeping debris IN.

I'd put that thing in the garbage along with all the useless AK and 1911 "recoil buffers".
