    Fitting the dust cover

I have several dust covers that do not naturally fit.
One cover is short for the receiver; and one receiver has a crook at the rear of the center support pin.
    Any tips on fitting?

They are thin sheet metal, bend to fit. For length, if its not too bad, just bend out the back where the dust cover meets the rear trunnion.

Not really sure what you're talking about with the crook at the center support pin, but it sounds like you could just bend it out. Make sure its not your receiver thats bent before you modify your parts.

      try this

I had the same issue on two builds, dust cover was too short, so I soldered on a shim of metal to thicken the rear.

They have a few different ones - I saw 69mach's a couple of BP's ago and decided I needed one too... so many things these can be used for. They have them from 1" width to 3" width I think.
