    1911A1 slide damage...

I shot an underpowered steel cased WOLF .45 ACP and had a FTE. On further inspection the casing had a halfway stove pipe with the edge of the empty casing making contact on two points of the first locking lug, on the slide, on the edge of the ejection port... In the pics attached you can kinda see the damage. I've put 500 rounds through it since with no issues until recently, the last 200, I've had partial feeding on several occasions. Could this cause those issues or do I just need to do some reliability work? I had already upgraded the recoil spring and I am going to adjust the extractor next trip to the range... Should I just let it be? Should I sell it? Should I buy a new slide and barrel? Is there any way to fix it?

Yeah, that's the best my camera gets... No that's not rust, it must be some imaging issue with the camera... The chips are small and shallow (in #5 they are hidden by the barrel lug). In #1 you can see how shallow they are. In #4 it's the two shiny points on the first lug and the one shiny point on the second lug.

Does the barrel lug have chips also? Cannot really tell from the pics but they do not look too bad. I would just use it the way it is and see what happens. Does not look like a safety issue.

Looks like the barrel is making contact w/ the slide. I would polish up the marks, lube & test. Can you show a pic of the barrel? Is the feedramp polished?

Your camera autofocused on the background in every picture. Try placing the slide at the same focal length as what your using for the background. That way, even if the camera focuses on the wrong thing, the right one will be in focus.
