Greetings,
I have a VERY nice FN receiver, with a fabulous aftermarket trigger, that has a rather short .264 Win magnum barrel on it. I am thinking of rebarreling this to a 30 caliber for target shooting. Other than the 300 Winchester magnum, any other ideas or recommendations? The bolt face is contoured for the .532" diameter rim of the 264. so I think that leaves out the prefered choice of a 308 win.
How about a recommendation of a gunsmith in the San Jose, CA. area to do the work?
