AR What seems to be the problem

Two different tactical machining lowers, one anodized, one raw neither fit a mil-spec buffer tube.

I have tried three so far including a LMT , UGT and one a buddy had. I am starting to think the lowers aren't right.

I did forget to mention that the tube in the video was rolled right my friends spikes lower with no issues.

I am also getting conflicting accounts that all lowers are cut for either commercial or mil-spec. Does anyone know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is true?

One persons says they can fit either, another says they bought a 308 from TM and it only fit commercial.

Yes all AR15 lowers should be compatible with Commercial and Milspec tubes(I have consecutive S#'d Noveske lowers that have one of each). That being said I have no experience with AR10's and could not comment on that.

This makes me think twice about getting a Tactical Machining 80%, most likely it will end up being Colfax.

If you have a 1 3/16-16'' tap then you can run it through the lowers and see if that helps

Yeah no prob, I know how these things can be. I would look into what Noobert said too.

Best advice... OP I couldn't tell in your video if you had machined the lowers out yet, I hope you checked before starting the project.

I see a trigger, so it's probably already machined
