What would it take to build a simi auto m1a1 out of a 80% receiver and parts kit?

Well since M1A1's were once smg's you have to have a closed bolt. I was looking into doing a build too, but the process was way beyond my capabilities. Most of the resources online refer mostly to the FA variant so finding accurate info on a semi auto CA build might be hard. I think this would require a lot of engineering. (Is there even a mag lock for this?)

If you do go ahead and build one let us know how it goes.

I have seen mag locks they use a buffer spring detent from a ar15 esay and super clean.
