    Buffer is to long?

I just finished milling out my latest 80% receiver and now that i have all of the lower parts installed in it i figured i should put the rifle together. After everything was installed i ran into a problem... the BCG does not go far enough rearward to lock on the magazine catch... so i have been fooling around with it trying to figure out why. I took the buffer spring out and just installed the buffer and i have the same problem, so i guess at this point the only option is to make the buffer shorter, or...?

I cant seem to find any information on anyone else having this problem so im kinda scared to just throw it in the lathe and make the magic happen. If there is anyone who has ran into this problem or has advice please... im willing to listen to ideas.

thank you, and i hope i put this in the correct place.

the tube, spring and buffer are just a cheap 6-Stage Collapsible (Commercial-Spec) Stock

There are different lengths for A1 and A2 Buffersprings and tubes. So you may have mixed up the tube and or the springs?
