AK Disconnector Spring

So after getting home from the build party on Sunday I discovered I didn't have a disconnector spring. Apparently my kit didn't come with one. While I could cannibalize one from another rifle, I'd rather not. Apart from the goofy pen spring concept some people have come up with, are there any other options? I'd rather not have to pay to have one shipped to me so if there's something I can get at a hardware store I'd like to know. Hell, I even tried a spring out of an AR trigger group I had laying around and it didn't fit either...

Tapco makes them. You can probably find one at one of the many gun stores in your area. They're only a couple bucks. You can probably find one at the hardware store, but the right part provides piece of mind.

I'm going to call around tomorrow, but I'm pretty certain that the local gun shops don't stock much in the way of small AK parts.

I thought i had one but I checked my spare parts box and nothin, I was just going to stick it in a envelope and mail it to you.

Buy another parts kit from Apex or someone else and get another disconnector spring or two (or 4) to go with it. That was my solution, since disconnector springs always seem to go missing when they're not installed.

But does anyone know were you can buy similar springs in bulk on ebay or some other site for cheap like 10 for $5.

I have never seen them that cheap. I have away's paid 2 to 3 bucks for the real euro surplus. I'm sure it would not be hard to find something cheap that would work but not the real deal

I don't always believe what you see don't live in Norwalk. I can meet you at the long beach town center or off the 91W and 605.
