    AR 15 FSB

I bought a FSB off ar15.com without checking to see if it will work on my barrel or not and I found out that the taper pin holes were covered up by my barrel -_-. I have an M4 style barrel and I was wondering what FSB I can get that will fit. It looks like this will work, but are there any others that you guys would suggest?

The one in your link would still need to be drilled while on your barrel, so you would be in the same situation as with the one you already have. Installing a FSB requires a jig (for proper installation) and would require drilling through the barrel (not through but about 3/16 of the bottom portion) for the pins to go through the FSB and the barrel. You could send it out for work to places like ADCO or contact Randall at AR15barrels.com

High-quality replacement for factory front sight housing includes bayonet lug, so you can upgrade a rifle manufactured during the now-expired Assault Weapons Ban to authentic military appearance. Forged from C1137 steel, then heat-treated for superior strength before final machining to military specifications. Ready to accept an A1- or A2-type front sight post, spring, and detent of your choice. Hole for sling swivel rivet is predrilled. Holes must be drilled for setscrews or taper pins for precise fit to your gun. Matte black Parkerized finish matches standard mil-spec finish. HBAR fits both M16A2 and M4 contour heavy barrels currently used by the U.S. Military. A1 fits lightweight M16A1 contour

Assuming your FSB is a take off and has already been drilled.

Install and align your FSB on the barrel. Use a jeweler's round file to notch your barrel. The long tapered round file should poke out the other side of the taper pin hole even before the barrel is notched. Pick a taper hole and slowly file the barrel until the pin fits properly and set with a hammer and punch or press. Check your sight alignment then file the other hole the same way.
