    A2 FSB problem

    The taper pin holes on my new (used) calguns aquired A2 FSB do not line up with the holes on my dpms barrel. So much for mil spec.... Im not sure which is off. Any suggestions... any suggestions?

      That is normal. Each FSB is drilled and pinned to each barrel so getting a used FSB to line up with a barrel that was drilled for another front sight base is a shot in the dark. You ar better off getting a clamp on FSB. As for the mil-spec aspect it has not much to do with that as the parts are more than likely correct it is the process of installing the FSB that is still manually done so that probably the issue.

              I see, I suppose it does make sense to machine them together for a sure, tight fit. Thank you for your expertise Dreadnought78. I guess Im in the market for a clamp-on fsb!
