    AK-74 side scope mount help!

Okay, so I got one of them side scope mounts/rail from apexgunparts and now I am wondering how to install the damned thing. How does one go about installing the mount? The holes on the mount don't seem to correspond to any rivet holes on my receiver that I can tell.

Is there a thread on this forum that I might have overlooked?

here is directions. the rails i used from apex or centerfire (dont remember which) had different screw spacing, but the location of the front screw and depth from top of receiver were correct.

The lower rivet on the left side of the rear trunnion is what you start off with. That sets your rail height. From there you level with the top receiver rail. Drill and set the rivet. This is a great job to use Klekos.

The rail might be for a AK74 and the rear trunnion rivet on a AK74 is farther forward than a AK47.
