Rust issue

Hi,
New to forums, and somewhat to firearm ownership. My first handgun is a p226 turn in from europe....there is a tiny bit of rust on the silver ejector part of the slide, and a bit on a piece of the frame as well...how do I deal with this? I can take pictures if that helps.

0000 steel wool and gun oil or tranny fluid.
Liberally apply oil to the offending spot and Very lightly rub with
0000 steel wool.

are you sure the frame is rusting? i thought sig frames are aluminum alloy

May be only on the slide, and I think there are a couple spots on the decocker...let me double check.

Ok so rust is only not on frame at all...

I cleaned up a slide that had light surface rust using just a rag and some oil and the rust hasn't come back in 10+ years. I would try that before going the abrasive route.
