sks muzzle break removal ?

    sks muzzle break removal ?

    i just recently acquired a sks and the muzzle break looks to me as if it is tack welded in place on the bottom with two sink welds how would i go about about removing this anyone ran into this before any info would be much appreciated

    My Yugo had a small tack weld holding the break on also. I used a small cut off wheel to remove 95% of the tack weld, unscrewed the break (reverse threaded) and used a file to take down the rest of the weld. I then touched up with some cold blue.

      yep did the same thing to mine. still need to re-blue it though
