Rimfire Ak build.

Hey I'm thinking about building my own wasr 22 ak from normal ak parts.Trying to find one at a affordable price is Imposseble,so I am going to build my own.I know that the wasr 22 uses many of the same parts as a standard ak 47 the trouble I ran into is I don't know if the bolt is changed?I would also like to know where could I get a bolt and barrel chambered for .22lr and fit an ak.

There is at least one very talented builder, Veper62 on this site, that, I think, was building a .22 AK, was not easy and don't really know came of that project. You might also check out the Weapons Guild site for info. Good luck.

Uses a completely different carrier and bolt than a standard ak.

I don't meant to sound like a dick, but if you have to ask whether or not a 7.62x39 bolt and a.22 bolt are different you might want to seriously reconsider your gunsmithing abilities.

Perhaps more research is in order.

cieners website. I read a review of one that was used in a milled arsenal usa and it worked well from what I read. Some reviews said they don't work well. I've also read they're slow to make and ship these. There would be a market for these if someone could make them fast and cheap.

Nice inside pictures of the wasr 22.I just wish someone sold those parts(including dust cover) but no one sells wasr 22 parts.Hey Idea!I wonder if its possible adapt a ruger 10/22 bolt assembly and charging handle to an ak.Or maybe the remington 597 bolt system.

7.62 is way off, 5.56 is at least close.

i have heard lots of folks over the years complain about this guy, not his products, just his service and wait time so be sure you understand the not on that ad and are very patient could be a vary long wait time

ehh not a big deal with a barrel insert. not my kind of thing but hopefully it helps out the OP

I have heard good things about the product itself but most said it was a scam not even recieving their product.And they use special mags not good.
Does any one know if any body sells parts to wasr 22s and is it possible to subsitute an ak bolt for a modified .22 bolt.
