DPM 28 cut reciever

I wasn't sure what furom to use but I was wondering if there are any gunsmiths FFLs etc that can do rewelds for a DPM 28 receivers I got a price quote from Projectguns.com and they said they rebuild them but they are located in Florida I was wondering if there was anyone in the Bay Area capable of doing a semi auto build?

AFAIK there are no 07 FFL's in the bay area that do rewelds however someone else may chime in to correct me. That being said try Matt Yeaman of Guns Northwest:

You could also contact one of the AK Team members to ask about learning to weld it yourself. There have been several successful rewelds by otherwise new welders.

They qutoted me $900 that included a new finished barrel fitting the bolt making it semi of course but then I have to transfer it to California and pay shipping so I wanted to know if there was anyone in California who could do this
