    Buttplate removal on a romy g

    Took the screws out but the damn thing is on there pretty good. Any suggestions? Just dont wanna force it off and screw something up

    put it out in the sun, thats what I did for one that was giving me some $H!T.

      Hmmm... Check to make sure there isn't a cleaning kit in the hole, if not and the screws are out then you just gotta pry it. Either stuck with cosmoline or just a really thick finish.

        Stick your thumb in the hole in the end as far as it will go and pull hard.

              use a flat head screw driver and pry up every side but don't mare up the wood in the process. had to do this to mine.

                Those romy stocks have paint and laquer and some thick durable plastic-like coating right over the wood which gets all over the edges of the buttplate, which kind of holds the buttplate on like glue around the edges. Take a knife and work around the edges all around the buttplate then carefully pry it off.
