    Barrel for AR 15

What do you suggest for a barrel for an ar-15. I would like an accurate barrel for target shooting but I dont want to pay for the name or the most expensive barrel.

      Try a Green Mountain. ???

They probably make them for more than half the boutique barrel suppliers out there.

There are tons of barrels/barrel makers out there offering M16 type barrels. They are all decent. Some are better than others. You get what you pay for. If you are serious about real target accuracy, then forget about a real cheap barrel. Nobody is hiding anything.
      Quality has its price.

I built an upper up using a Sabre Defense heavy fluted SS barrel chambered in 5.56 with 1:8 twist.
Wasn't that expensive, and shoots great.

I have found that the DPMS barrels & the Wilson barrels both shoot @ or under 1 MOA with handloaded match ammo. A properly headspaced bolt along with a properly install free float handguard are the keys to getting the most out of your barrel.

i went with a rock river arms stainless steel heavy varmint barrel for mine in 18" and had it trimmed down to 16". barrel shoots amazing
to be honest its your preference do a little reading and find the specs you like. dont just go by whats the best barrel because your just going to receive peoples opinions. i went with my barrel do to wanting acouple of key features 1st: had to be in 223 wylde(think of it as a match 556 barrel) 2nd: had to be a bull barrel 3rd: wanted a mid lenght gas system with a 1:8th twist.
